Taking A Closer Look At Alcohol Consumption All Throughout The United States
Alcohol is widely popular in the United States, there is no doubt about it. After all, though not everyone drinks regularly, more than 85% of all adults (over the age of 21, to be just a bit more specific) have at least tried alcohol once before. And many of these adults enjoy a drink every once in awhile, if not even more frequently than that. After all, the data that has been gathered on the subject more than supports this claim. This data shows that the majority of those who are a part of the Millennial generation enjoy drinking, and the same can even be said for those who are a part of the Baby Boomer generation as well. For many people, drinking (responsibly) is simply just a part of life).
Of course, there are many different types of alcohol to enjoy. For many people, wine is a popular drink. The data, again, supports this claim, as it shows that more than one quarter of Millenials (around 28% of them, if you’re looking to be a bit more precise) will even enjoy at least one glass of wine throughout the course of a single day. For many people, relaxing with a glass of wine at the end of a long day at work is something that is hugely enjoyable indeed. The same can be said for a bottle of beer or even something a little bit fancier and stronger, like a glass of whiskey.
And there are many other ways in which alcohol can be responsibly enjoyed as well, especially for those who find themselves passionate about varying kinds of it. Going out to a restaurant to enjoy a drink and a dinner is a hugely enjoyable experience for many people – and is something that can given them access to drinks that they otherwise might not be able to find. For instance, specialty craft cocktails are quite commonplace at most nice restaurants, giving you the chance to try something new, should this be something that you’re interested in.
Going to a brewery or a distillery, such as that of the typical bourbon bar, is also something you can do to enjoy a night out of the house. The average bourbon bar is also not the only type of distillery out there. In addition to the typical bourbon bar, the whiskey bar is also common. And craft beer breweries are growing more and more popular with each passing year. As a matter of fact, more than 1,500 craft distilleries and breweries can now be found all throughout the country, a number that only grows with the passing of each year.
But why go somewhere like a bourbon bar if you can just by bourbon at home? It’s very similar to going to a winery. After all, wine is quite readily available all throughout the United States. It is far from uncommon for wine to be hard to find in just about any part of this country. However, going to a winery provides you not only with the experience to taste new types of wine, but to learn more about wine, something that many people will likely have developed an interest in. Learning more about wine can be ideal from the perspective of the regular wine drinker, and the same can be said for someone who goes to a bourbon bar. After all, going to a bourbon bar might help you to expand your palate – or even just better specify what it is, exactly, that you are looking for.
At the end of the day, you can certainly have a great experience having a drink or two at home – even a few drinks, depending on the day or night. For a great many people, however, going out to a specialty place such as a bourbon bar, whiskey bar, restaurant, or even winery can be yet another great way to develop a much broader understanding of and appreciation for the alcohol that you are interested in consuming and that you likely already enjoy. For many people, the extra money spent on such a night out will be more than worth it at the end of the day.
